RHUDE comes from the word “rude,” and I grew up in a strict, uniformed environment, so this was my rebellious response. Despite that, I never really cared about the brand name, what matters is the stories I tell. Villaseñor is currently the founder and creative director of Rhude, an LA-based luxury streetwear label with a core Gen Z fan base.
A new creative director for Bally has been announced: Rhuigi Villase-or, founder and creative director of the Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Rhude. Having not named a new creative director in five years, it’s a big move for the 171-year-old Swiss company.

Based on a narrative approach, Rhude reflects modern socioeconomics as well as the individual’s experiences and journey to Los Angeles. As a recurring theme season-to-season, R H U D E combines American iconography with nostalgic references, a visual commentary on Los Angeles culture and style. After graduating high school, Rhuigi studied art history under Shaun Samson and worked as an intern.
With no formal training specific to fashion design, Villaseñor credits his understanding of garments and construction to growing up with a mother who was a tailor, which gave him a solid foundation to build each piece and to convey its own stories in each collection.
RHUDE’s journey parallels Villase*or, chronicling the evolution of a man from adolescence to maturity, a narrative that reflects each collection, and the Creative Director and brand continue to grow up with its ever-expanding fanbase, which culminated in Rhude Clothing debut collection for Spring/Summer 2020 during Paris Men’s Fashion.
